MONTREAL - Montreal police are asking for the public's help to find two men they say are responsible for at least 20 bank robberies in and around the city.
The Canadian Bankers Association is offering a reward up to $10, 000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of each of the suspects.
Investigators say 28-year-old Lee Gordon Lessard is connected with 15 bank robberies in Montreal and the surrounding area.
Lessard has been known to travel by taxi accompanied by a white woman in her 20s.
According to police, he often wears a baseball cap with the logo of the Toronto Blue Jays or Chicago White Sox and blue jeans with white on the back pockets. He is 1.87 m tall (6'1'') and weighs 90 kg (200 lbs).
He has hazel eyes and numerous tattoos on his arms and hands, showing dominoes and dice.
He speaks both French and English and has been spotted downtown near Place des Arts.
The other suspect, Mario Berube, 40, is thought to be linked to four bank robberies in Montreal and two more near the city.
Berube is white, 1.73 m tall (5'8'') and weighs 75 kg (165 lbs).
He has brown hair, hazel eyes and speaks French.
