The driving crisis in Quebec's political life this week has been halal chicken, and Jean Lapierre says the scheme hatched by the Parti Quebecois was crazy and insulting.
"I mean they were just trying to produce a crisis. They were trying to create a crisis on nothing, and I was so insulted," said Lapierre.
"Anything that is different now is supposed to be against our fundamental values? Come on."
Meanwhile Thomas Mulcair and Brian Topp are the leaders in the NDP leadership race, and this week Ed Broadbent slammed Mulcair.
"The vote has actually been going on for a while by mail and internet.
This is an 11th hour attempt to try to weaken the front runner in the race," said Macpherson.
