MONTREAL - A pedestrian died Thursday afternoon several hours after being hit by a truck.
The woman was walking through the intersection of St. Denis and Rene Levesque Blvd. when a truck turning the corner ran her down.
The 81-year-old woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition, and died of her injuries after several hours.
Police say it appears the driver did not see the woman and could not say if they would be recommending charges.
St. Denis southbound was closed for several hours while police investigated the collision.
