Quebec has appointed a new judge to head the inquiry into the police shooting of Fredy Villanueva.
Justice Andre Perreault will replace Robert Sansfacon, who stepped down last week for health reasons.
Perreault also served on a commission that looked into the Surete du Quebec's investigative methods.
The 18-year-old Villanueva was shot and killed as officers were trying to arrest his older brother in Montreal North in August of 2008.
The death sparked a night of rioting.
The inquiry is scheduled to resume on October 26th.
