As of Monday morning, commuter train service on the Montreal-Deux Montagnes line reverted back to the old 2008 schedule.

It seems to have done the trick; trains were all running on time.

The AMT changed the train schedule last month, but that led to delays and other problems and many users complained.

"No schedule is perfect, but it was working pretty well for the last 12 years," said Marco Burelli, an AMT commuter activist.

The train agency also added new shuttle busses to take commuters from five different stations on to the metro lines. The shuttles were added because some of the trains have been cut down to eight cars per locomotive, instead of the usual 10.

Many west-island commuters were happy with the addition of the shuttles, according to Burelli, since many of them take the train to get onto the metro network.

The revised schedule is available at train terminals and on the AMTwebsite at www.amt.qc.ca
