Liberal MNA Sam Hamad has still not decided what his political future will look like.
Hamad stepped down from the Liberal cabinet last April after questions arose over his relationship with executives at Premier Tech. The company was given interest-free loans from the government, which political opponents said were due to Hamad receiving fundraising help from company exec Marc-Yvan Coté.
In an interview with the Soleil newspaper, Hamad said he still hopes to regain a position in the cabinet but has found the wait “long and not easy.”
Hamad said he is unaccustomed to his less active role and may or may not resign before his term is completed.
