Funeral services for the Sherbrooke woman who was murdered in mid-August will take place this coming Friday and Saturday in Longueuil.

Rejeanne Pelletier-Charette, 82, was stabbed to death three weeks ago. Her body was found several days after she went missing from her home in the Sherbrooke suburb of Rock Forest.

A 16-year-old boy has been been charged with abducting and kidnapping Pelletier-Charette, and with stealing her car, but to date nobody has been charged with her murder.

He is currently undergoing a psychological evaluation and results are expected to be presented in court next week.

Pelletier-Charette's family will hold a ceremony on Friday afternoon at the Maison Funeraire des Cantons in Sherbrooke.

The next morning her family will comemmorate her life at 9 a.m. at Place Desaulniers on Taschereau Blvd, with the interment taking place at the St. Hubert cemetery immediately afterward.

Pelletier-Charette is survived by four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
