It was a busy night for Montreal police who have two new files open.

For one thing, they're looking for a robber who held up a donut shop in N.D.G.

Just after 2 a.m. a man entered the store at Sherbrooke and Beaconsfield and sprayed the cashier with pepper spray, Const. Anie Lemieux of the Montreal police department told CTV News.

He then bolted behind the counter and took the cash from the till.

The cashier and an employee in the kitchen were both treated for the effects of the spray.

There were no customers in the shop at the time.

Robbers barge into apartment

Police are also looking for suspects in a robbery in Pierrefonds.

Just after 10 p.m. three men in their twenties stormed into an apartment on Louis-Frechette and roughed up two 19-year-old occupants.

The intruders stole some cash and other small items.
