Beaconsfield resident Yan Lefebvre was stunned when the city told him to tear down a snow fort he built for his kids.
It was supposed to be a snow fort to end all snow forts, but city officials said it was a safety hazard and on city property.
Lefebvre said that it’s ridiculous and plans to hold a rebuilding party this weekend.
“I did nothing wrong, the kids are enjoying it.”
Mayor Georges Bourelle explained that he didn't want stop any winter fun, but there are concerns that a snow plow or car may drive into the fort, which sticks out into city property, possibly harming children playing in it.
