Three people have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of an SAQ employee in Baie D'Urfe last year.

In October 2010, 58-year-old clerk Helene Leduc was shot in the neck inside the liquor store on Morgan Ave., rendering her paralyzed.

Leduc said two men came into the store just after 12 p.m,, walked right up to her and ordered her to kneel on the ground, then shot her in the back of the neck.

The two men ran off without taking anything, and it was 20 minutes before another client entering the story discovered Leduc lying unconscious on the ground.

The three people were arrested separately Thursday in the Montreal area, said Montreal police Const. Yannick Ouimet.

"I can't give you an age and I can't give you a gender right now because there have been no charges laid against these people. Police are simply being interrogating these people," said Ouimet.

The arrests were made thanks to the help of citizens, who provided police with information on the crime.
