MONTREAL--Impressionism: A style of painting developed in the last third of the 19th century, characterized chiefly by short brush strokes of bright colors to represent the effect of light.
Seventy-three of the most famous impressionist paintings from Monet, Degas, Renoir and others have been installed at the Museum of Fine Arts.
