A traveler from Haiti was nabbed with almost 7.9 kilograms of cocaine hidden in the false bottom of a suitcase he was carrying into Trudeau International Airport in Montreal on July 26, 2012, it was announced by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Thursday.

The craftily-designed suitcase caused a blip on an Ionscan test, and was then brought to an X-ray inspection machine which was able to spot the false bottoms.

Officers took a drill to the bag and white powder flowed out. Tests proved that the substance was cocaine.

The traveler was arrested and turned over to the RCMP.

CBSA officers have made 156 drug seizures at the airport through the first months of the year and 1,018 throughout the province.
