The STM is taking disciplinary action against bus drivers who staged a wildcat strike during rush hour last week.

The transit agency isn't talking about the case, but it appears at least one person was suspended.

Neither the STM nor the Union is revealing the contents of a letter sent Friday to about 200 employees at the Anjou garage.

Workers who took part in the strike apparently will not be paid for the hours they walked out, while others may face tougher sanctions.

A new protocol for inspecting buses came into effect on Nov. 21, which coincided with the first snowfall of the season.

The STM had information kiosks about the new form in all eight of its garages workers based out of Anjou said they did not have the proper training to fill it out.

The safety checklist form is required by the SAAQ.

The union says it neither condemns nor endorses the strike.
