MONTREAL - A power failure made commuting over the Jacques Cartier Bridge a little tricky Monday morning.

The lights that indicate which lane drivers should be in were not working when rush hour started, so police and emergency vehicles were on hand to direct drivers into the correct lanes.

Shortly after 6 a.m. power was restored to the lights, but police stayed on the scene for a little while longer in case something else went wrong.

Normally for the morning commute, three lanes on the bridge are for Montreal-bound traffic while one lane is for drivers going to the South Shore.
