Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 71-year-old man who has been missing since Monday.

Jacques Lalonde is reported to have left the Manoir-de-l'Age-d'Or seniors’ home at 3430 Jeanne-Mance St. in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough at about 9:00 a.m., but no one saw him leaving the centre that morning.

Lalonde is independent, but he has some health problems that could cause him to become disoriented and confused.

The missing man is 1.61 metres (5’3”) tall and weighs 108 kilograms (238 lbs). He has grey hair and brown eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a long-sleeved sweater, jeans, black shoes with white soles and had a black laptop bag with a shoulder strap.

Lalonde likes, in particular, to sit at street corners and watch passersby. He might have gone to Lachine, police say.

Anyone with information about his disappearance is urged to call 911, their local police department or call the confidential Info-Crime line at 514 393-1133 or fill out this form online.
