Laval police led a series of raids against drug traffickers early Wednesday morning.
The raids took place in Montreal, Longueuil, and Laval.
Police did not disclose every location because they wanted to ensure their suspects were not tipped off.
In the afternoon, police confirmed they arrested nine people who will be charged Thursday with trafficking in crack and cocaine.
In a separate series of raids, Montreal police arrested 15 people on Wednesday morning as they conducted 17 search warrants.
Montreal police said those raids were aimed at street gangs.
