Police were able to save a fisherman from getting stuck in the waves of a fishing hole in Lasalle Tuesday night.
Around 7:40 p.m., passersby noticed a fisherman stuck away from shore near the Lachine rapids at Lasalle Blvd. and 6th Ave.
He had apparently waded out too far and his fishing boots filled with water and got stuck in the mud.
Witnesses called 911.
Police arrived at the scene and were able to pull him to safety, amid cheers from the crowd.
No one was injured.
A CTV viewer captured these images, calling the event "very touching."
