A call that trigged a major police operation on Victoria Ave. near Jean-Talon St. has been determined to be a hoax.
Police said they received reports of a conflict involving multiple people, possibly involving a weapon, with one witness saying they heard at least one gunshot.
The caller later admitted the reports were false.
Police said they do suspect suspicious activity in a nearby building, though they were unable to obtain a warrant on Sunday. Officials said an investigation into the activity will continue in the coming days.
