Three people were stabbed in Longueuil on Sunday morning, one of them fatally.

A 22-year-old man called 911 at 5:50 a.m. He was found covered in blood at Adancour and Cure-Poirier East and was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the upper body. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Moments later, a 26-year-old man called 911 from Gaston-Veronneau to report being stabbed in the back. Police said his life is not in danger.

A third man was admitted to hospital with stab wounds to the upper body.

Police said they believe the stabbings are connected but further investigation is required. The two surviving victims will be questioned once their health permits it.

It's the second homicide in Longueuil this year. A command post has been set up at Gaston-Veronneau as the police seeks the public's help.
