The Mercier Bridge will face a complete closure overnight Friday into Saturday morning for repair work.
The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated said lanes will begin to close starting at 10 p.m. Friday and will be completely closed in both directions between midnight and 8:00 a.m, with the exception of emergency services.
Workers will be replacing bearings under the bridge, and the complete closure is required to ensure their safety.
Work could be postponed if weather conditions are unsuitable.
