Longueuil police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a jewelry store robbery that happened in July.

On July 8, four suspects broke into the Monaco shop in Promenades St-Bruno shortly after closing, and attacked two employees with pepper spray.

They then broke display cases, grabbed merchandise and fled in a vehicle driven by the fifth suspect.

Police released surveillance video at that time, and thanks to information gathered, they were able to make an arrest Tuesday.

Kelly Bien Aime, 22, from Montreal, is scheduled to appear Wednesday at the Longueuil courthouse. He is known to police.

Investigators are looking into three other suspects in the robbery, as well as the driver of the getaway car, believed to be a dark green Mitsubishi Outlander with a light-coloured front bumper and a luggage rack on the top. Anyone with information is asked to contact Longueuil police at 450-463-7211.
