Police have arrested a man following an hour-long, high-speed overnight chase on the South Shore.
The pursuit began when police were alerted to a stolen car in Greenfield Park at about 1:30 a.m.
The fleeing driver - a young man in his twenties or thirties - reached speeds of up to 160 km/h and even drove in the wrong direction down some roadways.
Police were finally able to apprehend the driver on Taschereau Blvd in Longueuil.
