A South Shore man refused to be treated in hospital after being attacked in his home with a hammer.
Two masked men broke into a home on Legault St. near Parc St. in Varennes around 2 a.m. Wednesday. They attacked the resident, striking him in the head with a hammer.
Richelieu St. Laurent police said the attackers were also armed with pepper spray.
Authorities were notified after the attackers left, and the motive for the assault is not known.
