The Hamilton Bulldogs say there is no timetable for Montreal Canadiens prospect Jarred Tinordi’s return after he was knocked out in a fight Friday night.

During the second period of a game against the Utica Comets, Tinordi and Vancouver Canucks prospect Andray Pedan dropped the gloves right off a faceoff. Soon after the fight started, Pedan landed a hard punch to Tinordi’s face, knocking him to the ground.

Bulldogs coach Sylvain Lefebvre said Friday night Tinordi would need dental work. Saturday, the team updated his condition, saying he “suffered head and facial injuries” and that they don’t know yet when he’ll return to action.

The Canadiens selected the defenceman in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2010 draft.

He played nine games with the Habs this season in two stints with the club, and was most recently sent down to Hamilton in November after the acquisition of Sergei Gonchar.
