Just in case you thought there were not enough roads closed in Montreal, a heavily-used highway exit is now closed.
As of 10:30 p.m. Sunday June 12, the Guy St. exit off the eastbound Ville Marie Expressway will be shut.
It will remain shut for anywhere from three to seven weeks while workers rearrange the lanes on the elevated highway.
When the Guy St. exit reopens, the Atwater exit will be closed.
It's all because at some point in the fall major work begins on the Ville Marie, and eastbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes between the Turcot Interchange and the Guy St. exit for months, possibly years.
