Montreal police are taking extra steps to locate a missing pastor and a woman who vanished from Cartierville this week.

Pastor Courage Agbezorlie and Sandra Mensah were last seen at a Jean Coutu pharmacy at 5855 Gouin Blvd. West at 10 p.m. on Sunday March 9, 2014.

The two had gone to the store to buy an Opus card for the Montreal transit system, which was purchased at 9:47 p.m.. They then walked out of the store and vanished.

Police said Agbezorlie and Mensah, neither of whom has a Quebec driver's license, may have been driven to the store in a grey Infiniti G35X sedan, with Ontario license plate BSYJ323.

On Friday at 7 a.m. police received a tip that the car was parked near Gouin Blvd. and Place St. Germain about one kilometre from where the two were last seen.

"Police officers looked inside the car and didn't find anything special," said Montreal police representative Daniel Lacoursiere. "The car was covered in snow so we think that the car had been here at least since the snowstorm on Wednesday."

At 11 a.m. they set up a command post in hopes of finding someone who may have seen them, and started going door-to-door in search of witnesses.

Police say they have learned the car in question was often loaned to Agberzorlie by a friend.

Agbezorlie is 28 years old, 1.77 m and 74 kg (5'10" and 165 lbs) with short brown hair, brown eyes and dark skin. Police say the religious leader has no enemies, no money troubles, and was carrying his laptop.

He attended Bible school in Alberta and has spent time in Ghana, according to his Facebook page.

"He's a very friendly, straightforward person," said his brother-in-law Koomson Ferguson. "He likes everybody and everybody likes him in the community."

His sister echoed those sentiments in an interview with CTV Montreal Friday.

"He's a man of God, he's a pastor, he preaches the word of God. He prays with the community, friends and church," said Christina Enchill of her brother, known by friends as Kobie.

Mensah is 26 years old, 1.67 m and 68 kg (5'6" and 150 lbs) with brown eyes and long, braided black hair. Her cell phone was turned off when she left home and has not been turned on since.

Anyone with information about the pair is asked to call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
