UPDATE: Vanessa Ticas has been found. She returned to the group home on Tuesday evening.

Laval police are looking for yet another missing teenage girl who may have become entangled in the world of human trafficking.

Vanessa Ticas, 17, was supposed to return to the youth home in Laval Sunday at 7 p.m. after being released for the weekend, but never did. She had called to say she would be coming back and never showed up.

Vanessa is 1.65 metres tall (5’5”) and weighs 54 kilograms (120 lbs). She speaks French and English. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Laval police at 450-662-4636 or by dialing 911 and citing file number LVL 160207 056.

Vanessa has gone missing before, having run away in the summer of 2015.

Last week, four other girls went missing from the same group home. They have all since been found.

Insp. Alain Meilleur of the Laval police said last week there is evidence that some of the missing girls were targeted by gangs that want to sexually exploit them.
