The Montreal Alouettes have announced the signing of two young Canadian draft picks Friday, in the form of Coquitlam, B.C. speedster Keynan Parker, 22, and the versatile Damone Blackman, 23, from Oshawa, Ontario.

Blackman, a seventh-round choice in the CFL Canadian Draft this year, signed a two-year pact, while Parker, who was a sixth round pick in 2012, inked a three-year deal.

Parker stands 6'0", 183 lbs and is the son of James Parker, who starred with the B.C. Lions in the 1980s. Parker is fleet of foot, once setting a junior Canadian record by running the 200 metres in 21.44 seconds. He played on both sides of the ball for Simon Fraser and Oregon State.

Blackman, a 5’11, 170 lbs, veteran of the St. Mary’s Huskies, mainly plays the blocker position and impressed scouts at the Quebec City combine in March.

Alouette GM Jim Popp said that the two will attend upcoming training camp and will be given a chance to win roster spots.
