The bodies of six aid workers from the Quebec City area who were killed in the terrorist attack on Jan. 15 in Burkina Faso are set to be repatriated Tuesday.

That’s according to Frédéric Carrier, who lost his father and sister in the attack that left a total of 30 dead.

Carrier said he is relieved because he feared that their remains would be kept in Burkina Faso for a long time for purposes of the investigation.

The funeral will now be planned.

Yves Carrier, his wife Gladys Chamberland, their son Charlelie and Carrier’s daughter Maude were all killed in the tragedy, as well as their friends Suzanne Bernier and Louis Chabot.

They were on a humanitarian mission in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
