STE. ANNE DE SABREVOIS - Heavy rain and melting snow are combining to cause major flooding from Montreal's South Shore to Quebec's eastern border with New Brunswick.

Aphrodite Salas reports from Ste. Anne de Sabrevois in southeastern Quebec, where officials throughout the region are warning homeowners about the risk of rising waters.

The municipality is trying to stop the flooding with sandbags but the rain and rising water is making it difficult.

Residents are already dealing with flooding in their basements all the way up to the first floor, while cars are having difficulty driving along some roads.
