MONTREAL - Montreal police are looking for five people in connection with disruptions on the metro system last week.
Police have released photos of five people suspected of throwing objects on the tracks and pulling the train's emergency brakes.
Investigators said the actions were done simultaneously at five separate metro systems on April 16: Préfontaine, Laurier, Du Collège, Université de Montréal et Georges-Vanier.
The actions, believed to be part of the student protests against tuition hikes, caused considerable delays on the metro and affected hundreds of thousands of people.
The disruptions happened on a morning where major student protests against tuition hikes were happening in Montreal, but police still aren't saying if they are related, and student groups never claimed responsibility.
The suspects include four men and one woman, all of them are believed to be fairly young.
They used scarves, hats and sunglasses to cover their faces.
Anyone with information is asked to call 514 393-1133. The photos of the five suspects can be viewed here.
