LONGUEUIL - Police have wrapped up a search on a Montérégie pig farm in connection with the disappearance of Diane Gregoire three years ago.

Investigators began searching the Shefford farm in Saint-Valérien-de-Milton in September.

Longueuil police, who led the investigation with the help of the Sûreté du Québec, said Monday they found important materials related to the case, but did not offer specifics.

Gregoire was last seen on Jan. 31, 2008 by her husband, Paul Laplante. He told police she was sitting in their van when he left to eat breakfast in Promenades Saint Bruno, and that when he got back to the vehicle she was gone.

Earlier this year police said they had received a tip leading them to believe Gregoire's disappearance was a homicide.
