MONTREAL - Montreal Alouette Quarterback Anthony Calvillo’s left wing is ready to fly, it would appear, as the veteran was back at practice after being announced doubtful for the upcoming grudge match against Calgary.

Alouettes’ coach Marc Trestman said that the 39-year-old awoke feeling much better and passed some examinations later, confirming that his situation had sufficiently improved to get him ready for Thursday’s home game.

The Als are trying to avenge a 38-10 season opener in Calgary.

The Stampeders defense handled the Calvillo-led offensive attack, limiting the QB to 16 completions in 31 attempts, for a mere 174 yards and a single TD in that game.
