The 911 call came in at around 4 p.m., according to police.

The caller reported a person was in danger in the water near the Jacques-Cartier Pier, near the Ferris Wheel, in Montreal's Old Port.

Little is known regarding what happened to the man. Police called off their search at around 9:30 p.m. without finding him.
