A trail of marijuana smoke led to a seizure of $300,000 worth of drugs in a car in Brossard early Wednesday morning.
Longueuil police officers stopped the vehicle, after they noted that it was emanating a strong odour of pot.
Police soon discovered that the driver, a man in his twenties, was wanted for probation violations.
Officers then searched the vehicle and came across six kilos of cocaine, worth an estimated $300,000.
The driver and a passenger in his forties were freed but both will be required to return to court to face charges of drug possession with the intent to traffic.
Police would not reveal whether they had been tipped off to the drugs prior to the bust.
