The Surete du Quebec is looking for a man who raided a home in the Monteregie overnight.

Two men broke into a home in St-Stanislas-de-Kostka around midnight and threatened to hurt the occupants, however the two residents were able to escape into the basement and call police.

One of the suspects fled the scene in the homeowner's car, but police spotted the stolen vehicle and chased it south through Huntingdon. The chase ended when the thief lost control of the car and ended up in a ditch on Highway 138 near the town of Athelstan.

The lone occupant of the stolen car was arrested and is expected to appear in court on Monday, while the second suspect remains at large.
