The Montreal Canadiens organization is once again in mourning following a death of a well-loved retired star, as former defenceman Dollard St. Laurent died Monday in Beloeil at the age of 85.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

The rugged defenceman won the Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1953, 1956, 1957 and 1958.

In total, St. Laurent played for the Canadiens from 1950 to 1958 before he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks where he won the Stanley Cup in 1961.

The Habs lost another former player over the weekend – Elmer Lach passed away at age 97.
