A former customs agent at Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport has been found guilty of corruption for her role in helping a drug-smuggling ring.
Nancy Cedeno, 34, was convicted on the corruption charge on Wednesday at the Montreal courthouse.
However, she was acquitted of seven other charges, including racketeering, conspiracy to import drugs and gangsterism.
Cedeno provided pre-stamped customs declaration cards to drug traffickers, which allowed them to pass through customs without being searched.
She was arrested in November 2006, during a major crackdown on the Montreal mafia called Operation Colissee.
Cedeno will return to court in February for sentencing arguments.
