Police and the workers safety board are investigating an on-the-job death at a Laval metalworking shop.
Police say the man was driving the forklift when he lost control of it.
They think he tried to jump off to safety but was crushed beneath it.
The accident happened Thursday morning at Lallemand Metal, on Godin street in Laval.
Investigators interviewed a number of employees at the company to determine if safety regulations were followed.
