Hydro crews are descending on Verdun and Point St. Charles in an attempt to restore electricity to about 4,400 customers left in the dark Tuesday morning.

According to Hydro Quebec, 2,550 of the over 38,000 customers in Verdun were in the dark Tuesday morning as of 7 a.m.,  while almost 2,000 in other nearby boroughs were also down.

Repairs are required to a transport line, according to Hydro officials.

There is still no word on when electricity will be restored.
