Daycare workers launch rotating strikes

MONTREAL - Rotating strikes begin Monday morning for workers at home-based daycares throughout the province.

The half-day strikes will take place every day this week on a regional basis.

Daycares in the Outaouais, Abitibi-Temiscamingue and Saguenay-St. Jean areas are closed on Monday.

Montreal, Laval and the South shore will be affected by half-day strikes on Thursday

Thousands of child care workers are in the middle of negotiating their first collective agreement with the provincial government.
