Two people have been injured after the driver of a cube truck lost control of his vehicle and plowed into a gas station in Westmount Monday afternoon.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m., when the truck veered into three parked cars at an Esso station at the corner of Sherbrooke St. and Grosvenor Ave., and then hit and damaged the infrastructure of the gas pumps.
Police closed traffic in the area as firefighters ensured the safety of the area following the damage to the gas pumps, said Montreal police spokesperson Simon Delorme.
The two men – the driver of the truck and the gas station employee – were taken to hospital.
