The main connection between LaSalle and NDG/Montreal West will be severed for four weeks, starting at one minute after midnight.
Construction crews are closing Pullman Rd. and the Angrignon Blvd. overpass that crosses Highway 20 for one month in order to change the on- and off-ramps.
The overpass is going to become a key detour route for the next several years as the Turcot Interchange is being rebuilt.
Transport Quebec expects that on Nov. 15, assuming the weather proves favourable, the overpass will re-open, along with a new exit and entrance for Highway 20.
Until then drivers who normally rely on Angrignon Blvd. will have to detour via the Turcot Interchange, or head west until they reach Dollard Ave.
During the Angrignon construction, access to Highway 20 west from the St. Anne de Bellevue Blvd. will remain open.
New routes in November
Detours for the highway exit and entrance closures will run for up to four kilometres via Angrignon Blvd.
Transport Quebec will build a new exit on Highway 20 eastbound at Angrignon Blvd., and drivers heading to Montreal West or NDG will be able to use that exit, looping around on Pullman St. until they reach Ste. Anne de Bellevue Blvd.
Drivers who normally get on Highway 20 at Ste. Anne de Bellevue Rd. are being told to turn left on Pullman St., then turn south on Angrignon Blvd. and use that entrance to Highway 20 West.
Those who need to get to Highway 138 have a lengthy detour. They should follow the same initial route as those going to the 20 West, but instead of getting on the highway should remain on Notre Dame, then Victoria St., and continue past the St. Pierre interchange to 1st Ave. at which point they will have to get on Montreal-Toronto Blvd. heading east and then enter Highway 138.
Those who normally enter Highway 20 Eastbound via the St. Pierre Interchange are being told to parallel the highway on Notre Dame St. until they reach the next possible entrance, at Angrignon Blvd.
With access from St. Pierre Ave. to Ste. Anne de Bellevue Blvd. cut off, drivers are being told to take Notre Dame St. until Angrignon Blvd., then take Angrignon north to Pullman St. and follow that to Ste. Anne de Bellevue.
