Young woman struck and killed by vehicle in Quebec City
A pedestrian in her 20s died this afternoon following a collision with a vehicle on boulevard Pie XII in the Sainte-Foy area of Quebec City.
Quebec City police (SPVQ) officers were called to the scene around 4:20 p.m.
Resuscitation maneuvers were quickly performed on the victim.
She was then taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the accident vehicle was taken to hospital with a nervous shock.
The scene of the accident was cordoned off, and investigators and the forensic identification unit were deployed to shed light on the circumstances of the incident.
