MONTREAL - Scott Flory is entering his 15th season for the Alouettes but still has to stay in the most basic of conditions at training camp, currently underway in Lennoxville.
The giant offensive lineman bunks alongside other gridiron hopefuls trying to snag a roster spot.
They sleep until the 6 a.m. wake-up call in a small, hot dorm room with bare walls.
“It’s not the Ritz, farthest thing from it,” said Flory.
Even cold beer is banned from the unassuming quarters.
But Flory says it’s all worth it, knowing that he'll be alongside longtime teammate Anthony Cavillo.
“As long as i walk into the huddle and A.C. is there it's fine,” said Flory. “That has been the one constant."
