Usher, Half Moon Run, Metric, Grimes and Charlotte Cardin will headline a free Bell Centre concert in September, all part an effort to support international advocacy organizations Global Citizen’s fight to end AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

The concert, which will be held on Sept. 17, will also features appearances from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Bill Gates and will be co-hosted by Energie 94.3’s Patrick Langlois, Africa Rising Foundation co-founder Kweku Mandela, Maripier Morin and George Stroumboulopoulos.

“Global Citizen is looking forward to working with Prime Minister Trudeau and the administration to eradicate HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria,” said Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans. “Canada’s leadership in support of the Global Fund will have a lasting effect for the world’s poor for many generations and we encourage leaders from across the globe to follow the Canadian example.”

Free tickets will be given out to 10,000 people who enter a draw on the Global Citizen website.

The concert will be broadcast live to Bell Five subscribers on channel 1158, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and other Bell Media websites.
