MONTREAL--Two men in their 20s are in hospital after they were struck by bullets in Notre-Dame-de-Grace early this morning.

The men were hit while standing at the corner of Saint Jacques St. and Elmhurst Ave, around 2:40 am, Sunday.

The attacker or attackers fled the scene.

A 22-year-old victim is in critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries. A 25-year-old victim was also hit by several bullets, though his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Both victims are known to police.

The Montreal police are now investigating the crime. They do not know the cause of the incident at this time, but have several witnesses and at least one suspect.
