A freighter has run around in the St. Lawrence River near Sorel-Tracy.
The ship left the port of Montreal on Wednesday en route to Halifax, but did not get far before being grounded.
The Cyprus-registered vessel veered out of the shipping channel for unknown reasons, and is currently stuck several hundred metres from shore.
No environmental problems are expected since the ship is hauling soy beans. No crewmen were hurt.
