Highway 520 is getting a makeover this summer, meaning detours for nighttime motorists.
The highway will be resurfaced between Highways 13 and 40. The eastbound lanes will be closed at night from June 20 until the end of the summer and the westbound lanes will be closed at night beginning at the end of July and also lasting until the end of summer.
A detour will take drivers onto the Cote de Liesse service road. In a statement, the Transport Ministry warned of occasional closures to service and access roads near the 520 throughout the summer.
The resurfacing is part of a $4.7 billion investment into Quebec’s road network between 2016 and 2018, involving 2,100 sites.
