The Parti Quebecois will reimburse $90,000 in illegal contributions, less than half of what the province’s chief electoral officer has ordered them to repay.
Quebec’s director general of election had initially ordered the PQ to pay back more than $264,000 they allegedly received in illegal contributions between 2006 and 2009.
The party has agreed to pay back a portion of that but said it will have to investigate the balance.
